ISSS Volunteer Group

The ISSS Volunteer Group provides international students with an opportunity to better understand American culture while helping the community, as well as meeting new international friends.  Our events vary in nature, but in the past we helped set up pantry items at a local food pantry, ran game booths at a Halloween party, volunteered at the Illinois Marathon, and even helped kids shop for Christmas presents!

Any international student or spouse is welcome to join in the activities!  You can come alone, or with a group of friends…the more the merrier!

We will hold monthly events at a variety of community and campus organizations.  Times and locations will vary, which should allow you to find events that fit your schedule.  As event locations vary, we generally meet at a central campus location and then travel to each activity together.
